Haven't posted here or on the meme in a bit. I am writing--just got sidetracked with a fic-trade fill widget. -_- Was supposed to be short, but... I've passed 2K words and am maybe half-done. More likely a third.

That said, wanted to post something. So, drabbles. Figured I'd do one for each of the characters in decreasing order of people-I-like/want-to-write, stopping when I got bored. Might add to them later.

Since I've been having problems writing quickly of late, I decided to try this shuffle meme—discovered through Allronix's excellent example. Basic premise: put on playlist on shuffle, write fics to the first 10 songs that come up during the duration of each song's play time.

...Only my entire playlist consists of soundtracks. So instead of trying to write all Tronfic or whatever, I mostly matched the movie/game that came up. One exception, 'cause I got really sick of trying to write LoTR fanfic (my shuffle seems severely biased).

Obviously low-quality; they were written in 2-5 minute intervals, with no time to fact-check or refresh myself about the fandoms I was trying to write.

Right. My daily writing widget was somewhat delayed due to computer issues, but I'm back. And. Uh.

This is... technically ficwork. For a longer fic. This will be most or maybe all of a chapter for Extraordinary Voyages, a fic I'm... not very far into. It'll get worked on (clearly), though I'm probably updating Letting Go first.

That said, this is very far into the story. So. Uh. If you plan to read all my fic and have a deep and abiding hatred of anything remotely spoilerish, probably don't read this. It can stand alone, but... *shrug* Dunno.

And oh gods is this a rough draft. Very, very rough.

Therefore, new self-assignment. Any day where I don't write something, make some kind of progress either on a fanfic or some of my other writing stuff, I have to write something else. Any kind of drabble-whatsit-thingy. Or longer. Which I will post here, though not necessarily anywhere else.

Doesn't have to be good, just has to be writing. :P So, uh... be warned for highly probable fail. I really suck at this discipline thing; my hope is by assigning "ANYTHING" as the goal, I'll end up writing decent fiction if only to avoid publishing something too personal or badly written to be comfortable with.

Not necessarily posting something every day, since some of my writing projects are offline work. But decent odds for most days. We shall see how well this works...

So... I had to learn video editing for a recent project. And I downloaded this thing and I started poking at files...

Warning to any and all, the video quality is meh due to choosing a non-HD copy to work from. Also, first attempt at any of this shit, so it alternates between being crappily put together and having way too many weird experimental effects.

Summary: You can't always protect the ones you love. But then again, they don't always need it. Sam/Tron oneshot; Tron has trouble keeping calm when Sam's injured. Set in my Hold On AU; a good while after.

As of thus far, it's pretty much the main reason I obtained this LJ account, though I'm working on writing/adding more fics or what-have-you. It's also posted on fanfiction.net.
